The Wheels of Steel have been riding a 100 mile
challenge around the time of
Avril Townshend's anniversary for three years
now.
This year Avril's son, and Wheels of Steel organiser, Paul
Townshend was
generous to share the money he usually raises for Cancer
Research with
Joiningjack.

Paul arranged for all his team to wear customised T-shirts with
a picture of his
mum on their chest and the jj logo on their sleeves.
The riders were a mixed bunch from more experienced cyclists to
those just keen
to support a good cause.
The former took great pleasure dragging the latter over the
hills on a scenic route
to Lancaster and back again. All part of the challenge!

The troop arrived back in Wigan and were met by a group of
friends and
supporters at Bentley's on King St Wigan.
Bentley's hosted a bbq and there was a bit of Karaoke before
even more
fundraising. A raffle and auction was held and £500 was
raised for Joining Jack.
Thanks lads, thanks for all of your effort.
